Debbie Mucarsel-Powell had not been heard from since one of the biggest upsets in South Florida on Tuesday night when former Miami Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez unseated her by winning the election to U.S. House in Florida’s 26th Congressional District.

One of the most contentious races in South Florida was the 26th Congressional District and Miami-Dade’s term-limited Mayor Carlos Gimenez won the ticket to Washington beating the incumbent Debbie Mucarsel-Powell.
