He was the first and only reporter on the scene of a massive fire at RSW International airport, where more than 3,500 cars burned after a brush fire.
Joseph's start in television news came as a reporter at KVLY/KXJB in Fargo, North Dakota, where he reported multiple breaking news stories that gained notable recognition in the Midwest Region.
Joseph was born and raised in New York City. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University at Buffalo and he was also an intern at WIVB in Buffalo.
