Mayor Rex Hardin and Alison Fournier, the vice mayor, clashed during a discussion about Greg Harrison, the city manager, and his performance review.

Hardin wanted Harrison to get a 3% pay increase. The motion failed. Fournier wanted a vote of no confidence. The motion also failed.

Commissioners Audrey Fesik and Beverly Perkins sided with Fournier. Commissioners Rhonda Sigerson-Eaton and Darlene Smith sided with Hardin.

Last year, the New Pelican reported on the commission’s division and in a “string of failed votes.”
