FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Authorities arrested a teenager in connection with a bomb threat at a major South Florida airport.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest of a 16-year-old boy, who has not been publicly identified.
Deputies said they responded to a call of a bomb threat on Monday afternoon at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
Ultimately, investigators identified the 16-year-old and took him into custody.
Deputies arrested him on charges of criminal mischief and false report of a bomb or explosive.
