NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — A 5-year-old girl was home alone while her drunken mother reported her missing at the North Miami Beach Police Department’s station, police said.
Surveillance video showed Alessandra Capuzzo picked up her daughter from a dance class and the two left in a white Honda, according to police.
Before police officers found the girl alone at home, Capuzzo alleged the dance teacher had released her daughter to a stranger, according to police.
Police officers arrested Capuzzo on Thursday night at the station and corrections booked her on Friday morning, records showed. She faced a charge of child neglect.
